Management of Tree is Life

The affairs of Tree are Life are run by a management board comprising of eight volunteer members drawn mainly from the target area. They report to Board of Trustees comprising of five members and which has the ultimate authority in regard to decisions on key matters of the trust.

A Director who is assisted by two Vice Directors coordinates the day-to-day activities of the organization.  There are other members of staff whose number may vary from time to time depending on the magnitude of tasks and projects being implemented. Currently there are six:  three programme officers in charge of training and other activities in the community, one Accounts assistant and one forests coordinator. They help in the carrying out of the activities of Tree is Life.

There are also key community resource persons who work very closely with the Tree is Life staff and who are called upon to assist in certain tasks from time to time. Environmental club patrons are also instrumental in the implementation of activities under the school programme.
